Come discover the fascinating world of urushi lacquer art!
Aijing Zhang, an urushi artist herself, will lead this one-hour seminar exploring and demystifying an art form often featured on some of the world’s most beautiful fountain pens.
Participants will be introduced to key terms and techniques, along with a brief history of urushi, to help deepen their understanding and appreciation of this remarkable craft. Along the way, we’ll admire works by masters throughout its history and explore how urushi has found a unique place in the world of fountain pens.
No previous knowledge is required, everyone is welcome!
